50/50 chance I guess

Partly cloudy skies. Low 12F. Winds NW at 15 to 25 mph. Winds could occasionally gust over 40 mph.

OK, Trooper here & checking in from Mesa (normally clear skies) with cloudy conditions to report. I took a moon photo last night and the skies were nice and clear. It’s 7:05 (Mountain time) and things don’t look good for a decent photograph.

OK gang,
Trooper here, and checking in from (normally very clear) Mesa. We have clouds and it doesn’t look very promising for a decent photograph. I took one last night of the full moon and the skies were clear.

It’s 7:10 (Mountain time) and we’ll just have to see what happens.

Slightly cloudy here too!  Windy and bone chillingly cold!

Trooper - Looks like for a photo op you might have been better off at home! It is clear as a bell in SW Michigan. Hard to believe it is cloudy in AZ an clear in MI. However, it is quite cold, so there are some benefits to hanging out in AZ!! Safe travels, hope the clouds break long enough for you to catch at least a bit of the eclipse! Wish I had a better camera. Every time I try and take a moon shot or sun set photo with the phone it is less than spectaculer.

Absolutely gorgeous out there.  It’s cold at -2, but no wind.  Just have to step out on porch for a few minutes at a time, marvel, and walk back in and wrap hands around a hot tea.

For a while it looked like a red face with a white brim of a Santa hat.

Hope those who are able to view it. Please Do.  From here it’s “crispy” clear..

We had high thin clouds here in AZ, pictures not worth posting.

6:15 am, 12°, 25 mph winds, 30 seconds outside was enough.  Just regular moon, but I was please with the detail from my little $150  Cannon.
