Spring is here
« on: September 12, 2017, 04:09:10 AM »

Spring has sprung in Aus, going to be a tough summer for pellet grilling. Tomorrow has been declared a total fire ban in my area. Pellets are categorised as solid fuel and cannot be used during fire bans, Webber gasser on standby  :(

Same here - a couple of days ago we hit the 100 year record for no rain fall in 73 days. We are now on day 76 with no measurable rain.

You all should move to Texas.. Florida... or well now on up into Georgia and beyond.   Lots of rain. :)

In Michigan, we had bellow average rainfall, but it was spaced out pretty well, and isn't really too bad around here... temperatures were pretty moderate , never really got up to 100F even.  All in all it was a relatively pleasant summer... we haven't had frost yet this fall, but... well it has been down into the 30s a few nights already.   We are in my favorite time of year... cool nights, warm days... beautiful colors...  too bad it's only going to last about 4 weeks or so.. next thing you know I'll have my snow blower out and shoveling a path to my shed to smoke something...

We do seem to be living in a land of extremes these days  ;)

If anyone is a fan of weather monitoring, this is the best site I've visited in a long time: https://www.windy.com

Shows weather animations such as radar, rain, temperature and many others

It's been a bad fire season here in the Western U.S. this year, we hope everyone in Australia is spared from our disasters.

And we are on a total ban for outside fires also.
