Ya know I can't help you with BBQ, but if you can't find any you like and a burger sounds good, I saw this while spending hours a day on youtube.  I know it is thin (the way I like them) but that is the biggest looking 1/4lb. pattie I have ever seen @ 3:22 mark!

And, I am either gonna have a Chili Cheeseburger with onions, that's it, or I am gonna have a cheeseburger with lettuce, onions, pickles & tomatoes with mayo, not both!

Just seems like a place i would like to try!  I hope you get some good BBQ suggestions...

Corkscrew in Spring is excellent but they are a closed Sunday and Monday place.  I've heard that Killen's in Pearland is pretty good.  Unfortunately there are a bunch that are just mediocre at best. If you are looking for a good burger Bernie's Burger Bus in Bellaire is very good.  Good Luck and enjoy your trip!  By the way it is pine tree pollen season so everything looks like somebody shaved a tennis ball on it.

Just tried Killen's BBQ in Pearland, TX. I was very good. Line out the door and market style cut to order. To me the Turkey Breast was the best, followed by the Brisket, then sausage and finally the ribs. Awesome sides!

Rudy's is similar style serving.  I enjoyed the jalapeno sausage, the brisket, and the ribs.  It was back in 2010.

I will be interested in seeing where else you go.  I will be planning a Texas blues trip one of these years and some sites in Houston will be on my list.

Nice looking platter...and that turkey breast looks great.  Was the turkey breast mainly s&p seasoned?

I did get a chance to try Rudy's BBQ. It was brought in for lunch at one of my meetings. By the time I got to the food the brisket was a little dry but I must say it was a good meal. The turkey and sausage was the best.

One thing I did find interesting was both Rudy and Killen cut the brisket with the grain. I'm thinking they are in such a hurry that they don't even notice. Or maybe given it is restaurant BBQ it isn't a big issue.

When a piece of meat is cooked to that point of tenderness, not sure with or against grain really matters!  I guess I am making the assumption that Rudy's does not serve medium rare Brisket?
