 No spritz here. Used to. Only benefit I see is possibly a slight flavour profile change.

I stopped spritzing about the same time I quit foiling and using mustard as a rub binder.

None of it made any difference in my opinion. YMMV...

I agree about all 3.

On a separate subject, I made some chuck roasts for pulled beef the other day.  I didn't even put a rub on them.  Didn't taste any different than when I used rubs on them.  So, no more rubs on chuck roasts for pulled beef going forward.  I will save time and money.

No Salt or Pepper even?
