For those of you who have replaced a hot rod out of warranty, have you purchased from the grill manufacturer or an aftermarket hot rod?  I think I need two for my Traeger XL.  It was going to be $82 with shipping and tax for the two.  It looks like I can buy two on Amazon for half of that. Curious if anyone has a good hot rod at inexpensive prices that they were satisfied with.

The one I bought on Amazon outlasted both the original and the replacement from Traeger. But I have no idea who actually made any of them.

I ended up getting one from Grizzly Grillz. Fire Pot & igniter $35.00. Got it on Amazon.
I got roughly 4 years out of the original so I went back to the steel. I would say 85%
of my cooing on the Traeger is 225 or under so it should last a while.

Which grill did you put it on?  I was looking at that igniter last night.

Traeger they are a. Direct replacements last one was a 34

Unfortunately, the Blaz’n grill with the old igniter will not accept the new ceramic, and Blaz'n does not offer a mod for this. (since the fire pot pulls out leaving the igniter behind.) However, my first igniter lasted 3+ years, and since the replacement is easy, I am not concerned. I think the price for the RecTec pot and ceramic igniter is very reasonable, and I would pic it for any Traeger if you plan to keep it.
