That horn player has one of the most beautiful touches and tones I have ever heard. In any horn player or brass, ever.

You will have to forgive my ignorance, he was the writer or one of the Righteous Brothers or both?

He was the shorter, blonde Righteous Brother.  He sang the solo on Unchained Melody, their most recognizable recording.

EDIT:  BTW, it was recorded in the mid-60's.  You may not be old enough to remember it the way I do.  Then, too, I married a Righteous Brothers groupie.  She insisted that we travel all over the States to see them in concert.

Their music was commonly referred to as Blue-Eyed Soul.
