Exciting Times Ahead for Us Folks!!!
« on: September 14, 2017, 02:21:14 PM »

We have heard from Green Mountain Grills and Blazin' Grills that each wants to send a pit for performance testing.  It is such an honor that, to date, three manufacturers -- Camp Chef, GMG and Blazin' Grills -- would decide to allow a performance test by PelletFan.com.  Thank you so much to the folks at these companies!!!

Also, Bar-B-Lew will be doing a member review of the Thermoworks Smoke and Tappacue is sending a new unit to be tested by Bentley.  So many new and exciting tests and reviews on the horizon, so hopefully some good info coming to the members this fall. We hope other members might consider reviews of accessories or sauces/rubs.

Things are certainly much more active and exciting than I ever imagined for being less than one month up and operating.

Seems like our bookmark is doing nothing. The other site appears to be gone.

Really weird about that other site.

Still down (for me at least).

That's either horrible luck or horrible management of a new site.

Having had email contact with the new owner, and doing some internet searches...I guess the new owner is from the FL area, has a job there, so maybe it has to do with Irma.  But it happened before it hit.

But I would have though you would have tried to have a secondary plan to let your membership know what was happening, or if you knew you had planed down time coming, post on site before taking it down or at least let your moderation team know.

It is one strange situation if you ask me!

I will see if I can get my review up this weekend before I go out of town for 2 weeks.  I am quite honored to participate.

The activity on Pellet Fan says all that needs be said; the direct approach to the things we cook and what we cook on nailed it for me.  The added benefit of being able to post pictures directly is priceless, in that "third party's need not apply."  This is fun again!  Thanks to Kristin, Bently, and all the rest involved in making this happen.  Thanks also to the suppliers/manufactures that have worked to improve there offerings and now want to share there progress.

Loving the site, had a few days to poke around, very refreshing to have a site dedicated to pellet cooking. Also really nice to have a good feel about the site with none of the usual brand bagging.
Keep up the great work  :)

This is going to cost you a fortune, you need a meat sponsor.  :rotf: :rotf: :rotf:

I recall a post shortly before the collapse that he had put a link at the end that read Burk Resources LLC. Make of that what you will.
