The performance testing must amount to more of an investment than just the pit cost.  We should also cover the costs of the food and pellets.

The costs of the food and pellets is something I am happy to cover unless folks just wanted a ridiculous amount of things tested.  But I am not sure we would ever get to that point.  Adding up the money indicated by this poll gives us about $250 -- maybe could be stretched to $300.  A Weber Smoke Fire is $1000 with free shipping, so we are a long, long way from funding those kind of purchases.

Not going to have members pay for food I am going to eat (or donate, as Kristin is in talks with local "warming shelters" that we are going to start cooking for), and I think pellets will be de minimis.  Ya like that $20 word?

You all dont need to worry about that stuff, but it is heart warming to be thought of!

$20.00 sounds perfect.

I would be happy to make a yearly donation to keep the site up and running.
I haven't been very active lately for a number of reasons, but I'd happily contribute to keeping the site open. If the donation thing is too hard to set up, look into setting up a venmo account.

Long time none poster for various reasons as well, but would definitely contribute with donation button or membership button addition. Or even the good old US Postal service.

I hope each one of you has a very Merry Christmas!
