young whole chicken ala orange

Has anyone made a chicken version of duck ala orange and if so how?  I am thinking of making it but not sure if i should do it in the oven or on the MAK 2 Star.

I've not made it, but you've planted an intriguing seed.

I recommend cooking it in your pit.  I usually like the subtle smoke taste it adds to a dish.

Have not made, but did just read a duck l'orange recipe.  It called for broiling the duck for the final 4 to 5 minutes.  Do you plan to do that with the chicken?  If so, that would be the only part of your cook you would need to do in your oven.

I am not sure if I will use the broiler as it is to make the skin crispy.  But if iI decide to use the broiler I will probably cook it in the oven.

If you do decide to crisp the skin at the end, pour boiling water over the bird before you start cooking it!
