First outdoor grilling session this year.
« on: March 12, 2020, 07:25:37 PM »

Nothing too exciting but it was about 60 degrees today, and I finally got my 900 lbs hog moved to the back patio.

The smell in the air was amazing. Just some grilled chicken that I shredded then topped with white cheddar, Monterey Jack, and onions. Grilled direct with some distance over the coals on some Panera tomato basil thick sliced bread. The vegetables took on a really great flavor.

Yes, or sort of a hybrid version I suppose. The adjustable height coals and the Argentinian style V grates are a dream for grilling. Super heat retention, and no flare-ups.

Last fall I picked up a small grill and it made life a whole lot easier over the winter. However, I was surprised how good it felt when I got the big grill out the other day. It predates hot rods and I realized I kind of missed lighting the pellets by hand and waiting for the fire to catch. Grilling in sun and 60 degrees doesn't hurt either!

Way to keep me in suspense.  What is it, then?  A NuKe Delta?

Oh sorry. I thought you knew that it was the cooker that we have talked about before. It's the AZ Boothill.

Thanks guys. This will be my first full season with it. I got it last August and kept it in my garage, so I really haven't used it that much.

Now that it's on my back patio I should be able to put it through it's paces more once the weather changes for good.

And that burger looks spectacular!
