Too late for the middle part of that.  That comment came from the movie, "Knock On Any Door".

Last night was split turkey breast.  225 for 2 hours, then 375 for about an hour until IT reached 164.  Pulled and IT climbed to 167 during the rest period.   Sliced and was gone in a matter of just a few minutes.

Anyone ever consider making a waygu brisket into beef bacon like this:
crowdcow.com/blog/how-to-make-wagyu-bacon
Seems crazy to spend this much to make a few pounds of Beef bacon but I guess you really don’t know til you try?? In any case just wondering what your thoughts were? Crazy? Sacrilegious? Or delicious?

I prepare grits quite often, I have both quick grits (5 minutes) and traditional grits (20 minutes). For the last  five or ten years, I've frequently been substituting low salt chicken/beef/pork broth for the water, it gives a different dimension to the grits flavor. Additionally, if I must say so my self, I make a mean sausage and grits frittata.
Seems like all the stores near me only carry the quik cook grits.  I know Bob's has stone ground yellow polenta, but I order regularly from South Carolina to get the white.  Prolly can't tell the difference but I do it...   ;)

Mine were sent from South Carolina, they are traditional.  But someone, I think jimsbabecue, turned me on to an Instant 10 years ago.  Came in an Orangey package and were some fine grits for instant!

Bentley you just reminded me of how much I miss Fresh and Easy.  They were a great convenience store for grownups and foodies.  I have hopes for Aldi taking its place next year, but I don't know much about them.  Quaker is the only quick brand that i find, I'll look again.

We have an Aldi's, i guess I will have to go in and see if they have anything close.  Did not know Fresh % Easy was out of business.  Was one right across from my office in Pasadena.

Tesco (UK), the parent company of Fresh & Eash sold out in 2013 and the new company lasted about a year.  Aldi is a German company, I'm hoping they stock items not found in our regular stores.  The articles I have read make it sound like another warehouse type store.  They have purchased land in the Phoenix area for a distribution center and plan on several stores.  That was before the Covid virus issues.

I have also heard that Aldi has some affiliation with Trader Joes, although not sure if that is true or not.

I am not aware of Aldi being a warehouse store or that is has an affiliation to Trader Joe's.  It is a grocery store that does carry some unique items and is kinda low frills low price type place that has some good value on certain items from what I recall.  It may be five years since I was in one.  I think they did have a unique mix of products and probably a bunch more private label stuff.

The scoop on this:
The two companies both own and operate various Aldi's across Europe and the United States, but do so separately. ... Aldi Nord owns Trader Joe's in the States, but the Aldi stores that you see in the States are run by Aldi Süd, which is separate from Trader Joe's. The chains are kind of like estranged cousins

Interesting.  I haven't been in either in over 5 years, but from what I recall they couldn't be at much more opposite end of the grocery store spectrum.

BBL, Trader Joes is as I have always remembered them, Aldi's seems to be similar in a few areas like the frozen appetizers and deli type meats and cheeses.
Aldi's dry goods are as they have always been though, off brand, pretty good quality and some very good and pretty good prices also.
Our favorite canned chili is Aldi's, we don't eat it much but for canned it is hard to beat in our opinion.

Warehouse is not the best description for them, my bad.  What I have seen in photos & heard from others is that it's a no frills kinda store.  Lots of open big boxes to hold the products.  Little effort to place each item on the shelf and face the labels.  Google images would display a better idea of the insides.
