My quiet little neighborhood, Union City Ca. Alameda County. Message I received:

"All Alameda County residents are advised to stay home due to the civil unrest reported throughout Alameda County and the greater East Bay Area.  Unless personal travel is necessary, we are recommending residents stay home due to the high number of police actions. Currently there are multiple reports of large, mobile groups of rioters and looters traveling throughout the East Bay Area.  Travel on highways and freeways may be difficult or restricted as multiple road and freeway exit closures are expected."

2 Malls, 2 Walmart's hit so far.
This thing has gotten so far out of hand I am sure other sources are feeding the fire. We have choppers all over the place, but no confrontation so far.
I'm not too concerned about residential safety at this point as the targets are all places to steal stuff by a mob. Homeowners tend to shoot, and they know that. Some predict San Jose is next, but who knows. I'm no expert but it seems as they are targeting areas where they are least expected. Steal more stuff in a shorter amount of time and get out.
I do hope and prey that this can be resolved without more violence, but it's not looking good.

This is why I am glad I live in rural America away from big cities.  I am sure it is outsiders stirring things up.  In Mobile and Pensacola the protests has been peaceful with no rioting.  You have the legal rightful protesters during the daytime and then the agitators come out at night to steal and burn.  The media reports on the burning and stealing than the peaceful protestors.

So true that we will see the burning and none of the peaceful protest. There are always bad apples and this is the narrative that is being pushed.

Sad but more than likely the only thing the lawbreakers will understand is more violence. Currently they see there are no consequences for their actions. Maybe a few piles of lawbreaker's bodies in the street will flick the switch in their minds that it is possible we could pay for our destructive ways.

I live in Spokane WA, about 300 miles east of Seattle.
The protest started out calm and peaceful. Later in the evening a group of allegedly paid extremists showed up and then the violence started.
Whatever you think of "The Cause" and the protesters, it appears that they were not the problem, at least in many of the cities that saw riots.

I’m hearing the same things. I have two friends that live in MSP and they are posting video of protestors trying to stop looting and helping  clean up the mess at target.
They mayor reported that the majority of those arrested night 3 were from out of state and tied to extremist groups.

Somehow they need to identify the trouble makers and don't let them get bailed out.  This may take changing the penalty for what they were arrested for.  Also find out who is funding the trouble makers and go after them.

I have several neighbors that are retired police.  One told me when I asked how the town he worked in was doing said they have started to get buses from out of state with people coming just to stir things up.  The hardest hit cities are being hit by these groups.
