Pitts and Spitts C settings
« on: March 14, 2021, 11:15:34 PM »

I have a couple of Pitts and Spitts Maverick smokers. They are a 1250 and a 2000 with side box. I’d like to find out what all the C settings are in the controller.  I know 3 of them out of the 32 that are there. If someone has a list of what each one is I’d appreciate a copy. C2 is lowest smoke temp setting. On the 850, 1250, and 2000 it is set at 180°. C10 if I recall right is the start up temp time, it has to reach 160° in x amount time. It is set at 30 from factory. C11 is auger feed rate. I don’t recall factory setting on but I think it is 30 or 40. I’d like to see a definitive list of what each on is and or controls. Thanks for your help and time.

I didn't know my Maverick had C settings so I've never messed with them.  I'm happy with the way it works as is, but I'm interested to know what they all are too.

I changed the warm up time from 30 minutes to 60 minutes. I also changed the auger feed rate up to 44 on my 2000 and I think 40 or 42 on the 1250. I’m just curious now what the rest of them are.

They won’t tell anyone. They say it’s proprietary information. The information is out there, it’s just finding it. I heard Roanoke won’t help you either. I haven’t not tried them personally though.

A google search on C Settings for a pellet grill controller led me back to this site from a post years ago that had many of them listed.

I have a Maverick 2000.  I changed C-11 from 30 (default) to 60, and C-10 Auger Percentage Speed from 30 (default) to 50; both to avoid the ER-2 Code on cold weather cooks.  I'll be changing them both back to 30 the beginning of April.  I haven't changed any of the other codes.
