About to purchase my 1st pellet smoker and heading into the cold months in the Rochester, NY area.  We have a very basic screened porch with a concrete slab floor.  Was thinking about putting it in an outside corner of the porch for optimal air flow but my wife is afraid of smoke stains etc.
Any thoughts?  Good idea/bad idea?  Just trying to prevent it (and me!) from some of the elements.

Yeah, all screen, no windows at all.  Maybe I need to build a smoker shelter!

I've seen pictures of people using galvanized ducting to route their exhaust stack outside.

The GMG ones have the thermal blanket option. It really does wonders and I already have mine on. Plus having WiFi you can set the grill according to the type of temps and compensates the pellet usage.  Mine DB is on a cement slab with a cover over it all year and I use it year round.

It's hard to tell but I think so.  It's actually very similar to my porch so I'm optimistic that this is an option.

My Memphis and blackstone griddle are on a screen porch.  There’s a little grease on the ceiling and the screen but nothing terrible.

I have my PG500 on the patio about 5 feet away from one of the posts holding up my pergola.
The post is 4x4 cedar. It has been there about 5 years and the post is discolored on 3 sides from the smoke of the PG500, only the side facing away from the smoker is "clean".
Not really a big issue, my pressure washer cleans the post up very well.

I have a FEC 120 under a gazebo that is surrounded by a privacy wall. There are pickets on top of the wall where it meets the gazebo roof. It's also completely open on one side.
The FEC is capable of generating a lot of smoke in this semi enclosed space.
If the area were completely screened in, rather than the privacy wall, I think it would trap more smoke.
With this being said, unless you were going to stay out there with the smoker all the time you were cooking, it probably would be fine. It might discolor a light painted ceiling.

My DB is on a open deck, but there's two walls blocking the wind.  On startup, the neighbor down the hill thinks my deck is on fire, lol.  Normal smoking temps i dont think would be a issue in a good sized screened in area.
