I was making fun of the Comeptition we did in Jeffersonville, IN, right across the river from Louisville.  I think that was 2015. was mid June and was like 90's with high humidity and the lows were mid 70's.  Sweat just running out of my body even after the sun went down.

Wish I could find a competition somewhere around Canton or Pittsburg.  Would be about equal distance for most on the team, but I am afraid that most of my old teammates are done with competitions.  I think I still have one a year left in me!

I would more than likely be willing to do one just for fun. If you want to poke around for one I'd be willing to go as far as 5 hours or so. Pittsburgh is right at 5 for me.

Lew, bring the bbq guy in the family as our ringer. He can cook and I'll watch if needed.

He's not a competition cook and his flavor profiles probably wouldn't work in a competition.  In fact, I think if he was just cooking for himself his BBQ would probably taste different than what he serves.

If the stars would align for a date, I would be willing to drive 5-6 hours too.  I don't have a way to bring a smoker.  And, I would want to cook for fun too.

Fast Eddy guys...have any of you had one of the Cooshack cabinet smokers, like the Smokette SM025 or SM009? If so was there a difference in the taste vs. your FE CS PG500 or 1000 product?
