Entertaining our two daughters and their families tomorrow to celebrate our youngest daughter’s 40th birthday. The BIG 4-0!!  (Hard to believe - where did the time go?)
Will be cooking for 13 people so decided to serve pulled pork sandwiches.

Tables are all set up on the veranda/patio

Two pork shoulders I purchased at Costco rubbed and ready to go on. Together they are just over 11 lbs.

Will put them on shortly here about 5:30 Pacific time at 230.  Will let them run all night. Last cook (see recent thread) was just over 13 hours. Should be able to wrap in towels and put in the cooler then pull them before we eat at noon.

Stay tuned. More to come tomorrow

I suspect the one on the right to be done sooner.
Will put a separate temp probe in each one later on.

Your roses are lovely.  That is one thing I miss about not being in So Cal, not being able to grow roses.

At the 13.5 hour mark. Just the opposite of what I thought. The one on the left is more done than the one on the right.

My manual probes not that accurate.

That is lovely. Beautiful shape. If you want a stunning yellow, plant "Summer Sunshine"!

Took the one on the left off the grill to start pulling. It was falling apart as I took it off. Had a hard time holding it together.

Butt #1 is pulled. I set aside some crunchy bark pieces for “appetizers.”

Costco bonless butts are a pleasure to cook with.  No bone, no gunk, just cook, pull, season and eat!
