U.S.D.A Choice Rib-eye on Memphis Pro.
« on: April 07, 2022, 06:36:22 PM »

A little tough on the small end, but the majority of the Steak was very tender and very flavorful.  Better then the Omaha or the Piedmontese Beef.  12 minutes at 600°.  Pulled at 127°.

It was Brussel sprouts. We had a package of frozen sprouts.  I am not a fan, so was looking for recipes.  Found one that called for a bag of sprouts, two chopped up apples, same for onions, some oil and roast at 425 for 30 minutes.  I added some bacon.  Should have warmed up the bacon before adding because it was not as crisp as I would have likes. Still don't like sprouts :pig:

Thanks.   I like the idea of the bacon and onion.  Would skip the apple though.  I like Brussels sprouts.   ;D
We typically get the steamables that you put straight into microwave from the freezer.

I don't like sprouts either, but will eat them if well cooked, soft and with added flavors.  My wife loves them, baked on cookie sheet with some olive oil and charred a little at the edges.  NO comment.

GMG use to have a great recipe on the website for sprouts.  Basically, using a cast iron pan, you cut them in half, add a bunch of butter and bacon and seasoning and set on the pellet grill at 375 for an hour, stirring ever 15 minutes.  After 15 minutes, you add onions.  At the 1 hour mark you stir again and add fresh parmesan cheese and let sit for another 10 minutes.  Then serve.  Very tasty.

As for Brussel Sprouts, put me in the :puke: column. I only eat them when served.

How can you not like anything that has butter, bacon, and onions in it ?

You are probably right, I don't like liver either but with bacon and onions, I eat it. I will give Sprouts a try prepared as stated above.
