DC BBQ Recommendation

I would recommend Federalist Pig if anyone is in DC looking for a place to eat lunch.

Chipotle greens beans good and tender with interesting slightly spicy and smokey flavor seemed to be stewed

Mac and cheese pretty cheesy with some crust from baked cheese got better the more I dug into it with great cheese flavor and crust

Brisket was warm but tender.  Not much bark but decent flavor.  Not as good as Texas

Jalapeno and cheese sausage nice snap and very good smoke and jalapeno flavor.

Ribs bite off the bone tender with nice bark but mixed results on the rub.  Seemed similar to brisket rub.  Nice smoke flavor

House made pickles were very good.  Close to sweet and sour but very light on the sweet.

Honey brown ale very good with hints of chocolate

I would recommend Hill Country Barbecue in DC too.

Sausage jalapeno and cheddar with nice snap and a chili cheese type flavor.  Some parts of link very creamy cheese texture.  Good stuff.

Burnt ends nice and tender with very nice bark flavor.  Very good

Brisket salt and pepper style rub with nice bark and very tender and flavorful. Very good

Ribs tender bite off the bone with nice bark and nice sweet slightly spicy rub.  Very good trimmed st Louis style

Turkey very tender and moist with a rotisserie seasoning type light flavor.  Peppercorn rub Very good

Mac and cheese very creamy with stringy cheese.  Good stuff.  Got even better as it cooled and set up a little

Texas bbq sauce nice smokey flavor. Good with burnt ends

Hot BBQ sauce similar to Tabasco.  Pass
