I am not a huge fan of some of the NIL regulations, but I think it has made college basketball better than it ever was. The conference tournaments seemed to be better games across all the larger conferences than I remember in recent times. A few 2OT games, several OT games, and several games down to the buzzer and certainly competitive down to the last few minutes of the game across the majority of the games. I watched a lot this year. Lower seeds were the most competitive I have seen them. I have also heard some TV pundits say the same thing. Those folks have high expectations for the competitiveness of this years NCAA tournament.
If the NCAA tournament is not enough for you, there are a few other men's basketball post season tournaments you can watch - CIT, BCIC, CBI, NIT, CBC. Also, the women's tournament is going to be very entertaining too, but probably once they get to the sweet 16 round or maybe the Elite 8. Most of the top ranked teams are very good and when they play against each other the games will be very competitive.
I plan to be glued to the televisions starting today.
Oh, and don't forget the NCAA wrestling tournament this weekend with a Penn St wrestler going for the first 5 time national champion. And, this weekend has college hockey conference tournament finals. Their post season starts next weekend. Frozen four will be 4/10 and 4/12.
