New grill
« on: November 24, 2017, 04:58:45 PM »

So I went to the local GMG dealer today to see if they had frog mats. I thought I would grab a few more. Saw this little rascal and asked if they would match the Black Friday deal. They said yes, dangit. Pretty neat little grill, figure we can use it out at the lake. Not sure why they are sideways?

Congrats, that is a nice little pit.  I really enjoyed when Bentley performance tested one.

Your gonna love this LiL pit. CONGRATS! I've had mine now for 2 1/2 years now & have had no problems with it. GR8 cooker/Smoker! You will want to take off the legs & go to Sam's Club or somewhere & get a cart to put it on so its mobile & raises the cooking height.

I see what you mean about the height. That is kind of a hinderance. Truly a tailgater but then no drip bucket. The spring legs are a great idea. The auger is very pronounced and loud and I had the wi-fi working and now it can't find it.
I think it's going to be fun for the boat outings.

I take mine when camping. Just wheel it out to the back of the Explorer Lift & slide in.

Good deal!  You will have fun at the lake with that puppy.
To rotate your pictures go into your photo library, rotate the picture then save it. Go back in and rotate it again to the proper position. Go back and edit your post and replace the picture.
I post everything off my iPhone. Any more before posting I just rotate the photo in my camera roll, rotate it, hit Done, go back & rotate to proper position, post. Have not had any issues.

Congrats. I'm impressed with how much smoke the DC puts out at higher temps.

Baked potatoes last night and 2 biscuits for a little snack this morning. Both came out pretty good. It's a neat little rascal. Going to try something for dinner but not sure what yet. Definitely have to get a cart and definitely worth what I paid.
Going to be fun at the lake.

Trying the GMG pellet fried chicken, never tried it before. Not sure how it will taste but smells really good. Made me a tad nervous with the butter in the pan. The 2 breasts and 4 thighs filled the new grill.

(from a snapshot of the old forum)
Thanks to 'jakeboxer' for planting the seed of inspiration and his solution for his 'home' stand.
I was in HF ready to use the above stand as inspiration for my grill, and remembered another idea I found here on the forums somewhere, they had a 2 shelf cart.
After remembering this idea, we found this during a grand opening at a HF while on vacation..

http://www.harborfreight.com/three-shelf-16-inch-x-30-inch-steel-service-cart-6650.html

I just flipped the top shelf during the assembly and set the grill on the flat of the top shelf and have 2 trays underneath.

Added a chargriller side burner on the left. (found 2 on clearance last year for $5 a peice thumbsup) - Makes an excellent side tray..
The wheels make it easy to roll it in the garage and out of the weather..

Happy Grilling..
