interesting no one mentioned Fed Govt Stimulus.  QE from 2008 to 2014 ... inexplicably to economists ... did not generate inflation.  2000, 2021, 2022 COVID Stimulus  https://www.usaspending.gov/disaster/covid-19?publicLaw=all  $3.6trillion.  Economists expected this.

That money is going somewhere, to rent, to healthcare, to bills, to Beef Prices Near You.

DK

I think supply chain issues, minimum wage increases, and everyone and their brother being able to use those as excuses to raise prices is causing this issue more than stimulus payments.

I think the money is going to lots of private pockets like it always does.

Still pricy for a lot of that.  I couldn't see spending over $200 for a whole ribeye roast.

Chicken thighs are good. I like when they have the boneless ones.

I thought $10.99/lb was such a great deal for the Rib Roast, as the last time I was there I think it was $14.  I had forgotten that 18 months ago it was $7.99/lb!  Butt was up about .40¢ and GB about .10¢ from there low's!

Awhile back I bought USDA boneless 2 1/2" NY steaks for $4.97/ lb., am fixing two of them for supper tonight. They are already seasoned, so the game plan is to SV, sear, and serve with sauteed mushrooms, green salad, mashed potatoes and a broccoli/cauliflower casserole.

All of my freezers are full.  I need to quit buying things on sale and start using what I already have.  Probably don't have to buy meat until late into the Fall or early Winter.

Have you ever seen what they look like ?
I've seen tents set up, but I'm skeptical at those prices.
I would guess you can see either daylight through them, or you have to sign an annual contract to have them delivered monthly at regular price.

In looking at their website, One important measurement metric is missing from all of the listed items (that I looked at) - the weight of what is being purchased.

So, you could purchase their:
The T Bone Box for $239.99

And end up with anything from a box of yummy steaks, or a 1/2" by 1/2" by 1/2" piece of gristle.
