Meat ideas

My problem is I'm a bit burned out on butts, brisket and ribs. What other fun cuts of meat have you smoked? Try and make them something I can get at a grocery store like Winco or Safeway. Don't have access to a butcher easily. I'm wanting to try something new.
(tri tip doesn't count)

How about a pork tenderloin?  They're a bit small but one will serve two people if you have salad and a side dish.

I agree on  the tenderloins. Maybe Chicken thighs, or wings. a nice steak, pork steaks are great as well as pork chops. Sausage with pepper n onions. Chuck roasts.  Salmon, shrimp. Do a turkey.

Lamb is expensive, but good.  Shish kabob.  All sorts of grilled/smoked veggies including slow cooked stuffed onions.

Pulled beef from smoked chuck roast with peppers, onions, mushrooms, etc. is a favorite of mine.

Oh, yeah!  There are a ton of Pepper Stout Beef recipes on the Internet.  I posted one in the recipe section here.  You need to cook this.

Do a turkey.

+1 on the Turkey.  Of everything I do on my pellet pits, Turkey is the one I get the most consistent rave reviews.    I grab a frozen breast, thaw, brine, and smoke/roast for 5 to 6 hours.   I purchase turkey drumsticks separately and aside from cooking an hour or two longer, same process.

PS I've always made my own brine until last week. Had to try the Rodelle Turkey Brine from Costco.   It's a winner, I'll be using it for Thanksgiving this year on the breast.  Legs will be done with my regular home made brine.

Some ideas:
  • Cornish game hens
  • Lamb shanks
  • Meat loaf
  • Meat loaf with BRAIDED BACON WRAP  :D
  • Butter Chicken Thighs
  • Salmon or Steelhead (brine first in 50/50 brown sugar/kosher salt mix (no water) overnight, rinse & let dry before smoking)

Preferably a good hard smoke....so things like chicken/steak/tenderloin/tri tip....none of these things require much smoke as they are pretty lean. 

Looking for something fun that will take a good rub or something and come out great after a decent low and slow.  Kids love when I fill the grill with chicken legs, and my wallet loves that I can do that for about $4 lol....but it's not a fun meat to smoke.  Butts, brisket and ribs are all "fun" but after so many I want to open myself up to other ideas.

I forgot about Turkey legs...I do want to try those.  Thank you.  I've cooked turkeys but family prefers ham.  I love turkey though...so I cook one anyway every year.  BTW,  I do not brine my turkey and it comes out great.  Still not understanding why I need to go through the messy process of brining bird.

If the family likes ham, do an internet search for Pops Brine. grab2 pork butts and make pulled/shredded ham a nice change up from regular pulled pork.  You could just smoke to 180 ish and slice also. I put garlic and black pepper on the outside and a bit of cayenne if I think I can get away with it.
