Frito's
« on: October 04, 2017, 09:02:22 PM »

There, I said it....

I love Fritos. Frito pie? Ya sure.. Fritos and chile.

Is there another recipe that incorporates fritos in the mix? I'm having a hard time surfing anything up.   :(

Fritos,( flavored ones are great for this) ground up fine and make your masa out of them. fry up like a chalupa, add cheese, chile or taco meat and other garnish (onion, jalapenos, sour cream, guacamole, tomatoes, cilantro), whatever you want..

I like em plain with mustard on the side. Fritos are good on sandwiches for an added crunch and tomato soup (eat them quick).
There just so tasty,

I put Fritos (original) in my chili once in the serving bowl.
They stay nice and crunchy

Had this at Taco Bell and it was surprisingly good -- fritos inside a bean and cheese burrito!

I love frito's also.  I randomly came across a "stuffed frito's" recipe last week and tried it over the weekend.  There is room to improve the concept, but i will make them many times again.

I will also hop on this "I love fritos" bandwagon. They are my favorite "eat with a sandwich" chip. Also, frito pie is a gift from the gods. Fred Meyer (Kroger) makes an in house brand that is just as good. I saw that Trader Joes has one too but I haven't tried them.

Last year I gave up chips for good........except Friitos.   Chili just wouldn't be the same without some chili Fritos on top.  Must try the jalapeño ones soon.

To me, frito pie is a casserole. I doctor it up as I'm in the mood for. Frito's and chile is more like a dipping adventure.

I also have to jump on the Frito bandwagon. At swim competitions when my kids were young they served Frito pie at the concessions booth. Basically, they opened an individual serving bag of Fritos and dumped chili, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, lettuce and tomatoes right into the bag and gave you a spoon. It was awesome!
