Sure looked good to me.

I could read the name on the combine. Even with the dust cloud.

All most started itching watching.  :rotf:

I had the DJI all messed up, so will shoot some high quality tomorrow and see if there is a difference.  2.7K and 30 fps...Know idea what that mean, but they are the highest settings...I know it is supposed to shoot in 1080p...this 360p is not cutting it!  Gotta document the new garden area and the yearly fall landscaping fly over!

Knowing nothing about these how far away are you from it? It is incredibly stable, does the camera help that by some means? How much does something like that cost?

Nice footage.  Beans are the money crop right now as the Chinese have been importing beans at a steady clip.  The guy driving that combine is sitting on cash register.  Corn & wheat are heading downhill at the moment due to bumper crops.  Russia is now the world's largest exporter of wheat.

Dang you BentMan!!

I have been quite a photo buff for many years.
And lately I've really been fascinated with photos from drones.
I'm seriously thinking about a Phantom 4 from BestBuy. Haven't pulled the trigger, yet though.
Watching you piloting the drone just wets my whistle even more.
Perhaps we need to get on the horn some afternoon (after nappy time, of course) and go over some issues. I don't know of who else to rap with other than the sales guy at BestBuy.,

At the farthest, in this one, about a 1/4 of a mile.  This has a 3300ft range, and that could probably be extended with boosters.  Gimbals do the stabilizing. and I bought this from DJI reconditioned and it was about $400.

Knowing nothing about these how far away are you from it? It is incredibly stable, does the camera help that by some means? How much does something like that cost?

I tried to ask my uncle, but he is do deef I could not get it across to him, will try and ask Dennis!

Not to go off topic but; are the fields watered during the growing cycle? That vid looks to be like my lawn after about 3 months with no water.
Do the farmers stop watering toward the end of the cycle and let the fields dry up?

Most harvested crops in that area are harvested after the plants runs through their life cycle and the grains are dry. Soybeans, milo, wheat, corn, etc...are all that way.  I grew up harvesting them all!  Cool video for sure.

Anytime you are ready Troop.

This one is longer, but if you watch it on the highest HD setting, I am getting the quality a little better.

We are cutting the trees around the dirt pond to open that land up and for firewood each year,  we got nothing cut and split for seasoning for 2018-19, so we got a lot of cutting to do in the next 2 months...11 chords worth.   You will see that area as the camera pand down...And the triangular are right before it, the trees on the left we will cut and Dennis who leases the land will have them come in and rip the stumps and they will plant it next year...no more wasted farm land.

Landscape

From what I know, soybeans naturally defoliate as the days shorten.  The leaves started to turn about 4 weeks ago and by 2 weeks ago they were without leaves.  The pods they dry pretty rapidly and the bean inside do the same.  About as dry at harvest this year as I have seen in the last 4 years we have been here.  If they are not under 20% moisture content they usually go in a dryer, and I doubt that these will have to have that done this year.

These fields are solely dependent on rain, so if it does not rain as much as it should.  And this year was a prime example of that, the plant is not as big and the yields are down.

Perhaps we need to get on the horn some afternoon (after nappy time, of course) and go over some issues.

Mercy!!
So this is Maybery
Indeed.

You're getting pretty good at maneuvering that drone around, Bent.
If I purchased a drone I would generally use it for still-photography
