Do you see yourself adding to your arsenal?  If so what and why?

Camp Chef Smoke Pro XXL - I like the value for the amount of cooking space for jerky and bigger cuts of meat.  Having a performance test of another one of their products on here helped to confirm it was solid quality.

Cookshack 24 inch Charbroiler.  At $4000 probably not going to happen.  Larry sold them to restaurants and would come to LA to demo them.  Some of the best food I ever ate came off that charbroiler -- fish, chicken, seafood, steaks.

If I get another it will be a GMG Davy Crockett for the portability factor.  If I had my wish come true it would be a Yoder YS 1500 at just a shade under 4 grand it's not happening and I am ok with that at least a fella can dream.

I'm taking a serious look at the Timberline 1300, assuming the issues get addressed over the winter.   I'm one of the few pelletfans that is considering staying Traeger.  Only reason I'm even considering an upgrade is my Texas is looking a little rough.  The heat shield is rusted and badly warped (replacement at 12 gauge SS is $110).  I've replaced every other component already.   I got lazy on cleanup and had a grease fire this summer which caused some powder coat damage.   (I mean really my fault.  Three 8 lb shoulders three 8 lb chuck roasts at once.   13 some odd hours and then decide it's ok to cook bacon and then chicken a few days later without cleaning.)   Problem is, the Texas cooks as good as it ever has.    So for now I stay put with my 2009.

Memphis Elite.  Just seems to be the perfect smoker/grill and beautiful to boot.  Like most of us, given the price point, not going to happen.

I am getting a new pit and it will be a Gator Pit, but they're building me a 24x36. should have it before Christmas. I do have a Firecraft now.

  • Contrary to popular belief, bacon is a vegetable

With the limited space I have, I wood choose the Camp Chef Woodwind with the sear box. I'd have to sacrifice my 18" Weber WSM or the table and chairs. The WSM runs without power, and the furniture is teak. That's a really tough call...

I would keep my current pits but would love to add a FEC 120. Would love the option to cater some small events one day.

I’ve considered switching from my PG1000 to a PG500.

PG500
+1  I need to change my vote from Kuma to PG500, this will meet my needs better and I love the all stainless design.  One more bin fire in the SB 24 and I will place an order.

Really looking to get me a trailer unit next, GMG Big pig trailer rig has caught my eye with its reduced price. Not a whole lot of options for trailer units but right now it's in the lead as my next possible unit.

I keep going back and looking at the Louisiana Grills Champion behemoth.

Not because I need it, but simply a wall of metal is exactly what my BBQ area needs. It is one of those ridiculous things where you keep telling yourself "I don't need it, I don't want it", but you still find yourself thinking about it. :D

But back in the real world, I think I am probably good with what I have. And if I did want to replace my old Traeger, buying another GMG would be the sensible move for me.
