I had not seen this bread before until last week and I picked up a loaf.  Center slices were great for this grilled ham and cheese.

They had some nice looking Hoagie rolls in RD yesterday, but they were like $5.97 for 6 rolls.  A buck a roll, not today!

They carry Morabito brand at RD up here.  I like them better than Amoroso.  They sell 12" hoagie rolls at RD here.

Let me be the 1st to say I will not be making BLT's on untoasted bread in the future! You simply cannot make it Dagwood style and expect it to hold up on white bread! It was very good!

I've been eating ham and cheese club sandwiches for a few weeks now with fresh tomatoes that my buddy gave me.  Ate two pounds of bacon since then.

It is bad for me when the tomatoes start coming in.  We were at Costco and I picked up a 9lb pork belly, and then got to the bacon and it was 2¢/lb cheaper then belly so I figured why bother with curing.  Bought 8lbs saying I will just take the Belly back to the meat section section.  That never happened!

Those fresh garden tomatoes were so much better than store bought.  It is going to be disappointing to have to buy at a store again.

Yes the fresh stuff has a whole other flavor. I don't do a garden anymore but hit up the farmers markets that are usually set up different places. Some have some fresh sausage and frozen met from their farms. More expensive but different taste.
