If you are following the current cook on smart device or Tappecue.net, I have no idea if the swings are being caused by the wind.  And all I can say is it is +10mph for next 2 day, 7mph on Sunday and then a break..according to weather, com!

Do you have a post somewhere giving some interior and rack dimensions?

Have not gotten there yet.  I will go download the manual and post in the Product Review, it has all of that I believe!

Might almost be a waste of pellets and time...I guess we ain't gonna get consistency on 150°, might as well try an hour at 250°! Ehh?

wow, that is very impressive that those temperatures on different shelves are so close together... also impressive that it's holding so well at 150F.   I hadn't expected to see results like that.

How much smoke is pouring out of it at 150? From the chart, it looks like it cycles from maybe 125ish to 160ish. Seems like it would be very heavily smoking at those temps.

I am OK with those temp swings.  I don't anticipate putting water in the pan if I had it which is what I think is effecting the 3rd shelf temps being lower.  Looking forward to some food being cooked to see how it does that.

Is it a pellet hog?  From what I have read elsewhere, some folks mentioned 2#/hour.

If this thing can make wings crispy with good smoke flavor, I may be off to walmart to get one.

It seems to put more out on Smoke, but it does pump it out at 150° and it is cyclical!

How much smoke is pouring out of it at 150?

I will have to run a test to really know.  I just dumped the last of the 1st 40lber in it and the hopper id probably 2/5ths full!  It does not appear to be a hog at this time.  If the wind keeps up, I may just do some tests like that till it calms down.  I guess it is good to know how it does with the wind, but will those conditions be our primarily cooking conditions?  I think not!

Kristin wants her wings tonight so I guess she can tell you how they did, she is putting them in a brine right now.

What temperature(s) do you want these run at?

Will do!

I would be interested to see the 4 probes on the middle shelf at the cardinal points - front, back, left and right.  That way we see the variances around the chamber.

If you could could check the corners of one of the lower grates and maybe the corners of an upper grate we could know how uniform the temps are at each grate level.

Do you all have a preferred temp for the wings?  Bent isn't home and I hate to interfere with testing, but I want my wings!!!!

OK, set it at 350, waited about 12 minutes.  It got to 335, good enough.  Wings just went in on 2 pans.  Did not know if I should get the pit dirty before the data part was done, so thought I would start on cookie sheets and get out some of the fat.

Did two probes get removed or are they on fire?  They are at 2000 degrees in the graphs.
