What would you like to see reviewed and tested on the Griddle Hack?  Please specify if there are foods you want to see cooked or something done which might satisfy your curiosity about the product.

I guess I need to go get the DB out of the shed.  I am afraid that with the rectangular type of fire pot with the Memphis Pro, that it simply might not work.  And I have not had that DB fired up in...what 4 years?  Guess I better find out if the mice have gotten to the wires!

So far, I can say with 100% certainty, that none of this tested food will be given away.

Pancakes
Scrambled eggs
Home fried potatoes
Smash burgers.
Griddle peppers, onions, mushrooms
Griddle sausage
Grilled Hot Dog
Griddle a steak
Griddle a grilled cheese
Griddle hash browns
Griddle bacon
Cheesesteaks
Teppanyaki

Great to hear about the manufacturer service levels and hopefully participation.

Share the sentiments about the mfgr. caring.
If I may, were they aware of Pelletfan? You would kind of think so, you would think a mfgr would be nosy about all things pellets when undertaking making and marketing something like this.
Just curious and if it is none of my business, no big deal.

Silly question. Why wouldn't it work on your Memphis Pro, yet be okay on the Daniel Boone?

Both seem to have centered fire pots.

Fire pot is built different in Memphis than in other grills as it is not a circular shape and the channel for the pellet drop may interfere with dropping this unit into the grill on the front and back ledges.

Their email response did not seem to indicate that they were aware of the site, but they seemed to be interested in what we were doing when advised.

I plan to use in my Traeger or Blazn if the testing goes similar to the videos I have watched.  If I don't win the auction, I am going to buy one.

Did you start the testing yet?  ;) ;D

We have to receive the product first. :pig:  We will post every step of the way -- when we get it, unpacking, assembling it, etc. Believe me, Bent is anxious to get this one cuz he loves the list of stuff folks want to see cooked!!!

Well that's probably the ticket for future items. Just take a poll based on what you guys want to use. Then at least it's fun for you. If things don't line up with what others are willing to buy in for then so be it.

RD, up here anyway, sells 10# box of cheese steak beef or chicken already thinly sliced, portioned by separation with wax paper, and frozen.  I have bought it in the past and like it and will like it more on a griddle.

I was actually in Philly on Tuesday and on my way home had to stop into Jim's Steaks craving a Steak Wiz Wit.  Hit the spot.  Family had me bring one home for each of them too.

If you  have time, here is a decent story about the Lehigh Valley cheesesteak.

I do not believe I would every want my cheese steak with red sauce.  About the only thing I can think that I would is a meatball sub!  Lehigh Valley have an Italian heritage?
