Did this the other night. Used the mealoaf that the GF likes, meat, stovetop stuffing, 2 eggs, onions and added in some salt, pepper and garlic.
Browned it on the griddle, then added 1 can mushroom soup with the 3/4c water. decided it should have more so when with the same 3/4C water and cream of chicken. The GF doesn't like mushrooms, I asked her why, did she not like the flavor or texture, no it was because it is a fungus. Did this in the little DC at 180° for about an hour. Then bumped temps to 350° to finish once she got there. Probably another 15 o 20 minutes. I used a 1/2 steam pan so mine were probably thicker than the same in a 9x13. I peeled and pressure cooked some potatoes and she then mashed them the way she likes. I tell you what cooking is way easier if you cook for just yourself and not someone that is very picky.
It went over well, she liked it, I didn't taste much smoke but she said she could. I think maybe it was that she knew it was done in the smoker so she could taste the smoke. We took some of the leftover stuff to her Mother and she liked it also. So it is something I can now add in to things I can make for dinner list. It is slowly growing.
We were at local store and I saw walking in they had 85/15 on sale. Well they were out of it, I bought the 80/20 stuff and next time may look to try the leaner 90/10 or there abouts. This wasn't to greasy but as you see there was a fair amount of fat render out.
No plating pics. I am a simple guy so it usually doesn't look pic worthy. Plus a lot of times it is on the good Sams club disposable china.
