When I moved to Northern Michigan I was braced for the cold and big snow storms. So far we haven't had it too bad. We have consistently had snow on the ground since November, averaging about 4-6 inches. However I don't think we have had much more than that after any one snow fall. People around here are complaining about a lack of snow, especially the skiers and snowmobilers. However, I am not complaining!

The official snowfall for our immediate area is based on that recorded at the airport which is about 10 miles from my house.  As of midnight, the airport had recorded 26.9 inches of snow from this multi-day storm.  It is still snowing, but expected to fall below the 31.9" record total from 2016 making it the 2nd largest snowstorm in the area since they started keeping records.

I sure don't miss the east coast.  Lived in Delaware and worked in Philadelphia.
It's supposed to be 63 here today and tomorrow.

I sure don't miss the east coast.

Not even the bread, the pizza, the cheesesteaks, things to do in big cities, etc?

There should be a lot more pictures in this thread.  I wanna see 16 inches of snow when there is wind also!  We have been here 8 winters and I can't buy a decent snow storm!

Here is a pic I grabbed from a screen shot of a video for a local news channel.  I thought Bentley would like this one.  The left and right sides of the streets are parked covers covered by snowfall and then plowed in as the streets are cleared.  This is what happens on city streets with so many houses and no garages.

One last picture from this storm.  This storm had a very soft snow and very high winds that caused a bunch of drifting.  Some snow melted since the snowfall stopped late yesterday morning.

I was complaining because I had to shovel 6-7” a week or so ago.
Man it sure is pretty but only because it is in your yard.
