18" WSM and a Coleman 2 burner camp stove if the power goes out.

Aw, Bentley, you wouldn't play a round of golf with just one club.  You probably have more than one sharp knife in the kitchen and more than one socket set in the garage.

Correct, but I don't see what any of that has to do with needing any BBQ's that are not pellet units.

Pellet burners require electricity.

That is why I have a generator.  I do not begrudge anyone using what ever they want.  I just have no need for gas, charcoal or offset!

I'm trying to keep a promise that I made to myself that I would only post about pellet pit cooking.  I'm slipping a bit so I'll go further astray–

     ●  Broilmaster propane gasser, sometimes with GrillGrates or 25" Little Griddle that almost covers the cooking area.
     ●  Original Bradley Smoker with Auber PID add-on.
     ●  Pit Barrel Smoker with 10 CFM Rock's Stoker.
     ●  Ubiquitous 22" Weber Kettle.
     ●  Weber Little Joe Kettle.

I will probably add an Assassin charcoal grill/smoker.

EDIT:  I forgot my Anova sous vide cooker.  I love to cook with it but the downside is that it requires more advanced planning.

You're right, it's a flawed argument.

I was just trying to point out that there's more than one way to accomplish most cooks and some appeal to Marcia and me more than some other ways.  So we like to vary our approach.

I have a Weber kettle with a fancy cart and a pizza oven attachment. I use it mainly for burgers, carne asada, and the occasional steak (beef or ahi). And pizza.

I also have a Bull gas grill because the previous home owner put in a big reinforced concrete island that can't readily be modified to fit a pellet or charcoal grill. I use it if I want to cook burgers in a hurry or don't feel like setting up the charcoal in the dark.

I don't have a searing ... thing on my pellet grill, and even if I did it probably wouldn't have enough area to cook a pound and a half of carne asada.
